Today saw the first day of the new Cashless Catering System within the School.  Pupils were enrolled on Wednesday where a secure fingertip scan was taken from each pupil.  Using their fingertips our pupils (and staff!) where able to purchase food at Breakfast, Break and Lunch Time today.  The whole process went extremely well with a smooth and efficient serving.

Pupils at anytime can check their balance and add money to their accounts at two cash boxes located in the School.  They can also check their accounts on the School Computers on the Vericool Portal.

Last Wednesday, Michael Titcoombe, OllieThorne, Liam Elphick, Albert Scholey and myself participated in the first Year nine Media Extravaganza, and I think that I can say for all of us, that it was a great experience. We learnt many different aspects of media, and how to work well as a team, which I am sure will benefit us immensely in the future.

Two coach loads of Year 8 students headed for Dover at 5am on Friday 19th June, for the annual visit to St Omer, France.  After the 90 minute ferry trip and short drive to St Omer from Calais then students made their way towards the park for a picnic lunch and then onto the town and cathedral.

They invaded cafés, bakers and other shops, many having a go at speaking some French, and some even conducting interviews in the street. On the way back to the port we made a hypermarket stop where some last minute purchases were made.

On one point, all staff agreed: our students once again lived up to their reputation for excellent behaviour, on their 19 hour trip! Thank you to all staff and students who helped make the day so successful.
